For lovers of kid's books, the One More Page Podcast is FANTASTIC for grown ups and kids. It's a monthly foray into the world of kid's books. For lovers of Middle grade books, the Middle Grade Mavens is a fabulous review and resource. podcast.
Reading Time is my 'go to' for reviews and is run by the Children's Book Council of Australia which seeks to engage the community with literature for young Australians. I love my local sub-branch and I'm on the committee! It also awards the CBCA Book of the Year.

Writing NSW - subscribe to their newsletter, it's free. They run great events and courses, and my writer's group is under their auspice.
Australian Society of Authors - the peak representative body of authors, poets and illustrators. I'm a member.
Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) - great worldwide community with smaller chapters around the world. I'm member. The link is to the Australia East and NZ website.
Buzz Words e-zine has up to date must have information about the children's lit scene in Australia - subscription only access.
Australian Writer's centre has a podcast So You Want to be a Writer and runs courses.
Author Jen Storer has a fabulous blog at Girl and Duck.
Author Tania McCartney's Ask Tania blog is always helpful as a great archive of questions, and her podcast, The Happy Book, is the place I steer anyone interested in writing for kids - it has everything you need to know. Unfortunately it can only be found on Spotify at the moment - see her website here.
Author Sandy Fussell also has great resources for writers - I recommend subscribing to her newsletters.
